PetNamy allows non-profit organizations to start and manage fundraisers. Your account type determines the rules and how you are listed on our system.
> Companion or Pet Parent (or Unselected): This is for individuals who may only donate.
> Animal Rescue: An organization or group of people that rescues injured, sick, or abandoned animals. These are 501 ( C ) (3) organizations. The animal(s) must be managed and in their care to run a fundraiser.
> Animal Foster: A Foster person cares for animals at their home and a non-profit organization. With permission, they may run a fundraiser for the animal, but the funds go to the non-profit that has ownership of the animal. In effect, they run fundraisers for animals on behalf of Animal Rescue. Those funds can go back to the foster and others.
> Breeder: A business that breeds animals for pets or service animals. They are not allowed to run campaigns.
> Trainer: A person or organization that provides trained animals for home life, Emotional Support Animals, Guide Dogs, or K9 and other specialties. They are not allowed to run campaigns.
> Veterinarian: A clinic that may have animals in its care that need a home or wish to donate to others. If it is a non-profit and has animals under its ownership, it may run PetNamy campaigns.
> Wildlife & Zoo: An organization that has services for wildlife animals. Not pets, livestock, or domesticated breed animals (cats and dogs). Lions, tigers, or bears, you get the idea. Sea animals are included. If they are a non-profit, they may run PetNamy campaigns.
> Animal Shelters: These are usually operated by the city or state and funded by taxes. The employees would not have authorization to use PetNamy’s services. We are open to working with them or non-profit "Friends of *city-name* shelter" in the future.
