Fosters,
working with a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal organization, can organize a PetNamy
campaign to raise awareness, funds, and a forever home for animals in their
care. Since the animal is in their home, they can more easily post updates on
its well-being and share photos than the Rescue Organization. The funds from
the campaign go directly to the non-profit, even though the foster manages it.
We're sorry but cannot allow independent fosters to run
campaigns. We highly recommend that you contact a local animal rescue
organization. They desperately need foster care and will help you with food and
support for the foster animal.
The non-profit organization needs a PetNamy account, and
the foster needs to ask for permission to run campaigns for them. We do not
want a rescue organization and foster running campaigns on the same animal.
Accounts:
The Foster, with their own PetNamy account, enters the
public information of that rescue organization on their user profile. So
visitors can communicate directly with the organization for more details or
adoptions. (For the foster's and animals privacy)
If you are a foster, ask the organization you are
working with to create an account on PetNamy so that you can help them raise
funds. We must ensure donations are sent to the proper address, etc.
If you are a one-person foster that is a 501(c)(3), set
your user settings to "Animal Rescue." Provide your organization's
information and start PetNamy Campaigns.
Starting a Campaign:
The foster and Rescue organization has active accounts on
PetNamy.
You will follow the usual steps for setting up a
campaign, including entering a Title, Story, and photos of the animal you want
to campaign for. You may include a link to the animal's specific adoption page
in the Story area.
On the final part of Starting a Campaign, you'll
need to set the percentage amount to %100 and the Select menu to "Non-Profit animal organization this foster
volunteer for."
Then, Start
and Share your new campaign on
your social media connections.
All submitted donations will go to the animal rescue
organization. At the end of the month, the funds from completed campaigns
are combined and sent to the non-profit.
Currently, a Foster can only have one Rescue Organization
in their profile. Some fosters may be working with multiple animal rescue
organizations (three dogs from three Organizations). We are working on adding
the ability to select which rescue organization you are volunteering for and to
which your foster animal belongs.
